“Golden Route 1” Plan (From Atami to Inari Station)

You can access Inari Station smoothly from Atami by train. The route using the Shinkansen is convenient.

1. How to travel mainly by Shinkansen (fastest and most comfortable)

Travel time: approx. 3 to 3.5 hours
Fare: approx. 13,000 to 14,000 yen (approx. 87 to 93 dollars)

2. Tokyo Station → Kyoto Station (Tokaido Shinkansen) [approx. 2 hours 20 minutes
3. Kyoto Station → Inari Station (JR Nara Line) [approx. 5 minutes
The Shinkansen is the quickest way to get to Fushimi Inari Taisha.
There are two train changes, but both Tokyo Station and Kyoto Station are easy to understand and the journey is comfortable.
However, as Shinkansen reserved seats get crowded during busy periods, we recommend making a reservation in advance.
