Another charm of Osaka only the locals know about, “JACK”
Table of Contents
Fishing. It is a traditional Japanese culture that only those who know Japan well would know about.
If you come to Japan, why not try a traditional Japanese experience rather than just visiting tourist spots?
In fact, fishing is one of Japan’s traditional outdoor pastimes. The experience of fishing in the beautiful ocean is a special pleasure known only to those in the know.
The fishing experience at “JACK”, a place known only to those in the know, is located about a 10-minute walk from Yoshiminosato Station in Rinku Port Kita, Tajiri-cho, Sennan-gun, Osaka Prefecture. Here, you can enjoy a special day of fishing for fresh fish yourself, and then enjoying the freshly caught fish at the restaurant!

Regional Characteristics
Kuromon Market is known as “Osaka’s Kitchen” and is a food paradise loved by both locals and tourists. The 580-meter-long arcade is lined with around 150 shops selling a wide variety of ingredients, including fresh fish, Japanese beef, sushi, fruit and Japanese sweets. The biggest attraction is the “eat-as-you-walk” style, where you can enjoy fresh food right after you buy it. You can experience the tastes of Japan with all five of your senses, from the melt-in-the-mouth Japanese beef skewers to the sweet, juicy strawberries and sushi made by expert chefs. It’s also very convenient to get to, being within walking distance of Namba and Dotonbori. There are also English and Chinese language guides, so overseas visitors can enjoy themselves with peace of mind. If you want to experience Osaka’s food culture all at once, Kuromon Ichiba is a spot you definitely can’t miss!

Recommended fishing boat
Access
In Osaka Prefecture, we would like to recommend a fishing experience at JACK.
The access is very convenient, and it is only a 10-minute walk from Tadaoka Station on the Nankai Electric Railway, which is about 30 minutes by train from the center of Osaka. But the best thing about this place is its location near Kansai Airport! You can enjoy it as an activity right after you get off the plane! It is easy to get there by train, so it is also perfect as a little adventure in between trips.
Features
The captain says, “I want everyone, whether they’re beginners, have little experience, or are women, to be able to enjoy fishing with peace of mind and without any worries. With this in mind, he has been providing fishing trips where you can enjoy yourself without having to bring anything with you since the business opened. You can be sure that you’ll have a wonderful time with the captain, who has a kind personality.
We also operate chartered boats so that you can enjoy yourself with your friends without any worries. Of course we also offer shared rides, but we think that chartered boats allow you to share the fun more with your friends. The captain and staff are very friendly and will explain everything to you in a very polite manner, so you can enjoy yourself with peace of mind, even if you are a woman or have children with you.
Beginners need not worry.
If you’re worried about whether you’ll be able to enjoy yourself even though you’ve never fished before, don’t worry. At JACK, there is a full range of fishing rods, reels and other equipment available for rental, so even beginners can join in with ease, and with the spacious deck and clean toilets, even those who are not used to fishing can enjoy themselves in peace.

Let’s start fishing!
The captain of JACK is totally dedicated to satisfying his customers!
The boat goes out to various areas, but the most popular trip is the “Gomoku Tsuri” trip, where you can catch a variety of fish in the nearby sea!
The fish you can catch vary depending on the season, and include sea bream, blue fish, cutlass fish, leatherfish, horse mackerel, mackerel, rockfish, and black porgy! All of them are fun to catch and a shame to eat!

After fishing, head to one of our partner restaurants!
After fishing at JACK, drive for about 30 minutes and visit the “Katsugyo Sushi Tajiri” restaurant, which is not far from the fishing boat!
The fish will be filleted by a real sushi chef, so you can be sure of the quality!
The result will be the most delicious sashimi! If the restaurant is busy, they may not be able to handle your request, so it is essential to contact them in advance!
If you are uncomfortable with contacting them, please contact me and I will be happy to make the necessary arrangements!

Fresh fish dishes and delicious sake
The freshness of the fish means that it doesn’t have that fishy smell, and the fresh, shiny flesh is mouth-watering.
The sight of the fresh fish being cut up by the chef’s knife and transformed into sashimi, which combines the best of both worlds, is a wonderful work of art that you can enjoy with your eyes!

The sushi chef in Japan will cut up the fish you’ve caught and serve it to you!
Is there any greater luxury than being able to fully enjoy and experience Japan? As far as I know, there isn’t.
If you consult with the manager in advance, it should be possible to have them make sushi for you!
By all means, please enjoy Japanese culture and sushi to your heart’s content!

Finally
Fishing is not just about catching fish – you can also enjoy the refreshing feeling of being in nature and the sense of fulfillment that comes from obtaining your own ingredients. Then, while reminiscing about the day’s experience and enjoying a conversation with your family or friends who went fishing with you, you can enjoy eating the delicious, freshly-cooked fish. This is a luxurious experience that can only be enjoyed in Japan!
Why not make the day you and your family or friends spend at Rinku Port Kita in Tajiri-cho, Sennan-gun, Osaka Prefecture, a special one by adding a fishing experience at JACK?
