outfit
Shoes
Since the temperature is lower in fall and winter fishing, you will need thermal or waterproof shoes that keep you warm. It is comfortable to choose fully waterproof shoes or boots so that your feet do not get cold when wet. Also, those with non-slip soles will allow you to walk safely even in muddy areas.
Clothing
In cold weather, warm clothing that protects you from the wind is essential. Especially when fishing, long-sleeved and long pants clothing with windproof and waterproof features will keep you comfortable while protecting you from cold, rain, and snow. Using an inner layer of heat-retaining material such as HEATTECH will keep you even warmer and ensure ease of movement.
Hat
A hat is essential for fall and winter fishing to protect your head from cold winds and chills. In particular, a cold-weather knit hat or a hat with earmuffs will keep your head warm and your entire body warm.
Sunglasses
On days when sunlight is strong and in areas where snow falls, reflected light can strain the eyes. Sunglasses protect the eyes from these reflections and strong sunlight and help anglers to enjoy fishing comfortably.
Gloves
Warm gloves are essential in cold weather. Wearing gloves with heat-retaining properties allows you to fish while maintaining sensation in your fingertips. Waterproof gloves are also ideal to protect your hands from wind and cold water. However, thick gloves may make it difficult to do detailed work. It is important to choose thin, waterproof gloves and types that allow easy fingertip movement.
Change of clothes
When fishing in the fall and winter, it is important to be able to change clothes quickly if you get wet or cold. To stay warm, choose clothing that dries quickly and retains heat. A dry change of clothes is essential, especially if you are wet and exposed to the wind, as your body temperature drops rapidly. Warm clothes and thick changes of clothes tend to be bulky and add to your luggage. Selecting lightweight, warm-keeping clothing will make it easier to carry.
